Funded by the Institute of Educational Services, Dr. John Sabatini led a presentation at the 2020 Coalition on Adult Basic Education (COABE) conference. His presentation was titled “Understanding, Identifying, and Addressing the Underlying Skill Profiles of Adult Learners with Reading Literacy Challenges.”
Discussing educational practices and instructional strategies, Dr. Sabatini reviewed empirical research on both scenario-based assessments and the components of reading. His presentation was a part of national research efforts to make reading literacy assessments available to adult education programs.
