CaptiVoice currently houses the SARA assessment, previously known as RISE or ReadReady. SARA consists of six subtests evaluating foundational components of reading. Score reports are available immediately after the student completes subtests. These score reports showcase the test-taker’s strengths and weaknesses as a reader. Because of this, SARA can act as an intake and progress assessment.
Following the first in our CaptiVoice/SARA webinar series, we are recruiting for the Department of Education’s federally-funded SARA test, a reading skills research project. Participating adult literacy
programs will receive free use of both the SARA assessment battery and CaptiVoice’s services. Programs will also receive training in the use of the web-based AutoTutor for Adult Reading Comprehension (also free).
